Jordan Bailey
I have been involved with piano technology and design for over 20 years. I made my living as a professional pianist for most of that time. As an undergraduate at the Hartt School of Music, I studied performance and historical keyboard practices and found a greater understanding of how keyboard instruments work.
My interests in performance and early keyboard instruments led me to the Royal College of Music in London where I made the decision to combine my performance experience with technical competence of how to adjust and maintain pianos at the highest level. Upon returning to the U.S. I enrolled at the historic North Bennet Street School for Trades in Boston in order to further my education in piano technology.
After graduating, I moved to New York to work for Faust Harrison Pianos during which time I was Director of Technical Services and Co-Manager of the Restoration Department. In 2016 I joined Steinway & Sons as Foreman of Tone Regulation.
In 2019 I relocated to Kerhonkson, NY with my family and opened Bailey Piano Works, serving the Hudson Valley and beyond.
